MT-Aerospace Guyane

A pioneer in the aerospace industry since 1969, MAN Technologie AG became MT Aerospace AG in 2005, when it was acquired by Apollo Capital Partners / Munich and OHB Technology AG / Bremen in Germany. MT Aerospace AG is now positioned as a privileged partner of the largest international space and aeronautical programs thanks to the continuity of its competence: “from the idea to the qualified product”.
In french Guyana at CSG (Centre Spatial Guyanese)

MT Aerospace Guyane SAS was created in 1997. Oriented exclusively towards space while having a varied range of activities within the Guiana Space Centre MT Aerospace Guyana’s presence dates back to the time of the major projects for ELA2 and ELA3 of the Ariane 3, 4 and 5 launcher family. MT Aerospace Guyane mainly built the Ariane launch facilities and ground resources and satellite preparation. (BIL, BAF, ZL, EPCU S1, S3, S5, Ariane 4, 5 and 6 launch tables, etc.). Today, MT Aerospace Guyana’s activities are the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electromechanical and electronic systems and also physical measurement and metrology. These different activities are spread over three separate sites at the CSG. They are also managed upstream by the headquarters of MT Aerospace Guyane in Kourou. MT Aerospace Guyane guarantees its expertise and availability at the service of its customers.

Mechanics on Ariane Launch Assemblies (ELA)

Specialized mechanics perform operations such as: Maintenance and operation of general mechanical systems (thrust measurement system, platforms, bridges, large doors, means of access, ARIANE 5 and ARIANE 6 launcher transfer means and its boosters), installation and connection of mechanical systems for the ground/on-board interface. Thanks to its participation in all the ARIANE 6 campaigns, MT Aerospace Guyane has acquired a great deal of experience in launcher and satellite operations, from the beginning of the campaign to the launch of the rocket.

Physical Measurement and Metrology Laboratory

For its customers CNES/CSG, Arianespace and other CSG manufacturers, the Physical Laboratory carries out operations such as the verification, adjustment and preventive and curative maintenance of metrological measurement instruments (various physical quantities, see “about us”), studies and measurements in the context of the treatment of incidents, anomalies, modification of ground systems and the implementation of new systems and physical measurements in the context of CSG launch campaigns.

Mechanics on the Propulsion Zone (ZP)

For its customers Europropulsion and Regulus, ZP’s specialized mechanics perform operations such as: Maintenance Preparation before use and assistance in a pyrotechnic environment of the systems: Mechanical Production fluids assembly of the Solid Propellant Engine segments of the Ariane 6 Solid Propellant Accelerator Stages (ESR). Equipment to maintain includes: large doors Bridges Hoists with various handling accessories Automatic rudder pedals Load cells fixed and mobile means of access (baskets) Lifting and lifting platforms Forklifts Various large and small production tools (e.g. gluing tools, gutters) the Helium pressurization system of the EAP GATs, the SPH, for example, the GAT filling system for the fluid part.
