Our Company

Trusted Partner At The European Space Port

MT-Aerospace Guyane

MT Aerospace Guyane has been a key player in the aerospace industry in French Guiana since its establishment in July 1997, when it took over all activities previously carried out by MAN Technologie. The roots of these activities date back to 1969, when MAN Technologie operated as a division of the MAN GHH Group in Germany and became a pioneer in the aerospace sector.
In 2005, following the spin-off of MAN Technologie, MT Aerospace AG Augsburg and MT Aerospace SAS Guyane were acquired by Apollo Capital Partners and OHB Technology AG. Today, MT Aerospace AG is recognized as a privileged partner in major international space and aeronautics programs, building on decades of expertise and guided by its principle: “from the idea to the qualified product”.

At the Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG)

MT Aerospace Guyane is a key contributor to Europe’s access to space, operating at the Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG) in Kourou, French Guiana. Fully dedicated to the space sector, the company delivers a broad and integrated range of activities across the European Spaceport, combining operational excellence with deep technical expertise.
The presence of MT Aerospace Guyane in the region is rooted in the early development phases of the Ariane program. Since the major ELA2 and ELA3 projects for Ariane 3, Ariane 4, and Ariane 5, the company has played a decisive role in shaping the spaceport’s infrastructure. Its teams have contributed to the construction of launch complexes, ground support systems, and satellite preparation facilities, including BIL, BAF, ZL, EPCU S1, S3 and S5, as well as the launch tables for Ariane 4, Ariane 5, and Ariane 6.
Today, MT Aerospace Guyane ensures the reliable operation and maintenance of critical mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems, complemented by advanced measurement and metrology services. These activities are deployed across three dedicated sites within the CSG and coordinated from the company’s headquarters in Kourou.
With its strong local presence, highly skilled workforce, and long-standing heritage in the Ariane program, MT Aerospace Guyane stands for reliability, responsiveness, and partnership. The company plays an essential role in supporting launch operations and contributes every day to the success and competitiveness of the European space sector.

Mechanics, Measurement and Metrology

Mechanics on Ariane Launch Facilities (ELA)

Specialized mechanics perform operations such as: Maintenance and operation of general mechanical systems (thrust measurement system, platforms, bridges, large doors, means of access, ARIANE 5 and ARIANE 6 launcher transfer means and its boosters), installation and connection of mechanical systems for the ground/on-board interface. Thanks to its participation in all the ARIANE 6 campaigns, MT Aerospace Guyane has acquired a great deal of experience in launcher and satellite operations, from the beginning of the campaign to the launch of the rocket.

Physical Measurement and Metrology Laboratory

For its customers CNES/CSG, Arianespace and other CSG manufacturers, the Physical Laboratory carries out operations such as the verification, adjustment and preventive and curative maintenance of metrological measurement instruments (various physical quantities, see "about us"), studies and measurements in the context of the treatment of incidents, anomalies, modification of ground systems and the implementation of new systems and physical measurements in the context of CSG launch campaigns.

Mechanics on the Propulsion Zone (ZP)

For its customers Europropulsion and Regulus, ZP's specialized mechanics perform operations such as: Maintenance Preparation before use and assistance in a pyrotechnic environment of the systems: Mechanical Production fluids assembly of the Solid Propellant Engine segments of the Ariane 6 Solid Propellant Accelerator Stages (ESR). Equipment to maintain includes: large doors Bridges Hoists with various handling accessories Automatic rudder pedals Load cells fixed and mobile means of access (baskets) Lifting and lifting platforms Forklifts Various large and small production tools (e.g. gluing tools, gutters) the Helium pressurization system of the EAP GATs, the SPH, for example, the GAT filling system for the fluid part.
